Many greetings to all of you from kennel named
"From Valvasor's Land" in which black and
harlekin Great danes were born. The name wasn't
difficult to find, because we are living in a
village called Šenèur, exactly in the country,
which was glorified by Janez Vajkard Valvasor,
when he wrote Slava Vojvodine Kranjske in 1689.
Like many other people I have never thought,
that I would go visit dog shows or that I will
breed Great danes. My father always had dogs at
home, mostly Deutscher Schaeferhund or dogs of
mixed race. But my greatest wish was to own a
Great dane. This came true in 1993, when we got
our first Great dane - a black female named Pia.
Soon we went to the first dog show and breed
examine because all "the experts" were talking
that female dogs should have puppies once. When
Pia was three years old, she became a mother for
the first time. She had fifteen puppies and one
of them is our dog Samson. The story goes on and
